New painting: still life of daffodils

Finally Spring has sprung and the daffodils are out. To celebrate, I've painted a still life of this vase of daffs in acrylic with touches of oil pastel to bring out the texture of the canvas paper. Let's hope the sunshine continues!

Marcia Kuperberg's painting of still life, vase of daffodils. Acrylic with oil pastel on textured paper. A3 size.

Lovely and Spring like. I love the composition with the books, fruit and flowers and the contrasting colours of the deep blues and vibrant yellow.

Really glad you like my Spring composition, Rosie! I feel as if I haven't blogged for a while, and your encouraging comment will help me get back on track.

Today, we know it's really Spring. About time, too as the weather has been dreadful except for this week and the odd day. Now the trees are green, spring flowers are blooming, and I'm painting daffodils! Haven't been blogging much lately - will get back to it and put up my memaid in progress. So love making, designing and planning her. Watch this space.
