m'Mermaid! 5 ft high ceramic piece

ceramic mermaid by Marcia Kuperberg 5 ft high hanging in archwayShe's finally finished and home!
Just where she finds her final resting ground is still under discussion. Originally she was designed to be hung on a narrow pillar in the Turkish villa, but we decided we'd see her more often if she remained in London. Then, the logical place for her seemed to be inside the clematis arch at the bottom of the garden where she'd be visible from both house and garden but at a distance.

Now we're thinking of hanging her on the wall just outside on the balcony so we can see her closer to the house. Louis really likes her!

Gorgeous Marcia! I think closer to the house is a good idea.

Thanks, Dev. She'll probably end up on a white wall, adjacent to the rear lounge of the house which has large glass doors so you will be able to see her from there.

I am in love with your mermaid. She is divine and looks so much at home in the photo. Wherever she lives, she will attract much admiration and wonder.

Jo, thanks for your lovely comment. I am really unsure of where she should be - more subtle to be amongst the greenery, but easier to see when on a white wall. Will send picture of her final resting place.

She is such a beauty! I like how her hair balances her tail. Fantastic colours together with the clematis.

Thanks, Anna! Yes, her hair flows up as well as down. Her tail is her best feature!

Thanks, Ginsi. She's now hanging on the wall of the balcony where she looks somewhat exposed but I have plans to correct this at some later time.

Your mermaid is beautiful, Marcia. I think she looks very happy in the clematis arch.

Thanks Aisha. I tried her in the Clematis with the aid of Photoshop, but in the end decided to put her on the wall of the house. She does look a bit lonely there, so when it stops raining I might paint something on the wall as a background for her.
